New Play Area at Leicestershire County Cricket Club Including Surface Produced from Recycled Trainers
Continuing the theme of supporting our communities, Red Monkey Play are delighted to have worked with the team at Leicestershire County Cricket Club, one of the UK’s most elite cricket teams, to install a new play area alongside the playing area.
Both Red Monkey Play and Leicestershire County Cricket Club place community involvement towards the top of their list of priorities and this is a great way for us to work together in supporting the community and encouraging more family involvement and support of the cricket club.
Alongside the playing area and adjacent to the “Family Standard” is an exciting new play area that combines many of Red Monkey Play’s top selling products. The area has a natural appeal with products from our woodland range and fits in well with the overall environment. It also incorporates play aspects that children love including a slide, monkey bars, ramps and dens.
Our Partnership with Abacus Playgrounds
The play top area features their Nike Grind product, which is when a large proportion of their rubber surface is made from ground down Nike trainers! This means that the play area is not only fun and exciting, but it is also environmentally friendly and highly sustainable!
The New Play Area at Leicestershire County Cricket Club
The new area is now open and ready for some of the most attended games of the season. Harry Digva, Senior Sales Executive at Leicestershire County Cricket Club, says “we are delighted to have worked with Red Monkey Play on this project. The new play area is already a popular place for families to visit and it will support the continued growth and attraction of new supporters and followers of cricket. We highly value our local communities and it has been a great partnership.”.
Simon Winfield, Managing Director at Red Monkey Play, says “we are delighted to complete this play area, which looks fantastic! Not only does it enable children to play freely, but it also encourages them to be more active which is really important. It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with the Leicestershire County Cricket Club and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them.”.
The play area will certainly feature in TV and images when the cameras are at the ground this season so watch out for the Red Monkey Play logo or even better, take a trip to a game and enjoy the area yourself!
Leicestershire County Cricket Club also runs educational projects for local primary schools. For more information, please contact Harry Digva at the Club by calling 0116 2452 440.
